Town of Lake Clarke Shores - Final Hurricane Milton Update  (Post Storm) - October 11 @ 7:00am

What you need to know from Lake Clarke Shores:

  • Lake Clarke Shores Town Hall will reopen today.
  • Trash service resumes its normal pickup schedule today.
  • All yard debris from the storm cleanup may be placed on the swales for pickup. It will be collected on your normal vegetation pickup day next week.

Please note: Because Lake Clarke Shores was not impacted by tornadoes, you are asked to set out your waste as usual, by putting out no more than the normal allowable amount of vegetation and bulk items for your regularly scheduled collection day.

This is not the time for all residents to take this as an opportunity to start wholesale cutting healthy trees thinking that the extra vegetative waste is going to be collected.

If you have not yet done so, please remove any hurricane shutters.

While they provide essential protection during storms, keeping shutters up after the danger has passed can be hazardous. Shutters block natural light and emergency exits, making it difficult to see or escape quickly in case of fire or other emergencies.

However, we ask everyone to exercise caution when going out.  Town of Lake Clarke Shores police and maintenance crews will be assessing any damage, including downed trees and blocked roadways. Please be mindful of any potential hazards and stay safe when walking or driving around town.

Although the storm has moved on, we are still experiencing strong winds throughout the day, which may cause additional debris and hazards. Your safety is our priority, so please remain cautious.
